Tape in extensions are thin wefts of hair that sit flat against your own hair, close to the root. They are light, comfortable and lie flat, so they blend in naturally and are easy to hide, even with fine hair. We fit extensions for all hair types and colours, from fine blonde to thick dark hair, and match the colour, thickness and texture for a seamless result.

Who tape in extensions suit

Tape ins are a good choice if you want thicker, fuller looking hair or a little extra length without a long appointment. Because the wefts are so thin, they work well for clients with fine hair who want volume that doesn't look heavy.

A poor colour or texture match shows straight away, whether your hair is light, dark, fine or thick. We match every client carefully, including thick, glossy dark and Asian hair, so your extensions blend with your own hair from root to tip.

How it works

1. Choose your hair. We match the shade and length to your natural hair. Each pack of tape in hair is £150.
2. Fitting. We fit each pack in about 20 minutes, at £30 per pack.
3. Maintenance. As your own hair grows, we remove the tapes, retape the same hair and refit it higher up. Remove and retape is £30 per pack, or £120 for 3 packs.

You don't need a patch test or a consultation for hair extensions, so you can book straight in. Wash and blow dry is charged separately.

How long your appointment takes

Fitting takes about 20 minutes per pack, so a full head of 3 packs takes around an hour. Maintenance appointments take a similar time, as each pack is removed, retaped and refitted. If you would like a wash and blow dry at the same visit, just add it when you book.

Looking after your extensions

Good aftercare keeps the tapes secure and the hair soft, so you can reuse it for longer.

Washing

• Wait 48 hours after your fitting before the first wash, so the tapes can bond fully
• Wash once or twice a week, as washing too often dries the hair out
• Brush out any knots before you wash
• Use lukewarm water, never hot, as heat softens the tape glue
• Wash standing upright in the shower with your head tilted back, rather than leaning forward over a sink, so the hair falls naturally and doesn't tangle
• Use a gentle, sulphate free shampoo and smooth it from roots to ends with your fingertips. Don't scrub, twist or rub at the tapes
• Put conditioner on the mid lengths and ends only, keeping it off the tapes
• Rinse well so no product is left near the tapes

Drying

• Squeeze out the water gently with a microfibre towel. Never rub or wring your hair
• Dry your roots fully on a low or cool setting, keeping the hot air off the tapes
• Never go to bed with wet or damp hair, as it will knot and matt

Brushing

• Use a loop brush or a soft bristle extension brush
• Brush only when your hair is dry, 2 to 3 times a day
• Hold your hair at the root with one hand to support the tapes
• Start at the ends and work slowly up, without dragging the brush over the tapes

Day to day

• Keep oils, serums, alcohol based sprays and dry shampoo away from the tapes
• Use a heat protector and keep straighteners and curlers away from the tapes
• Sleep with your hair in a loose plait or low ponytail, ideally on a silk or satin pillowcase
• Wear a swim cap in the pool or sea, as chlorine and salt water weaken the tapes
• Book your refresh every 2 months
