How your protein treatment works
- Free consultation. We look at your hair, talk about the result you want and choose the right protein. We will also tell you your exact price.
- Preparation. Your hair is cleansed to remove any build up.
- Application. The protein is applied section by section from root to tip.
- Sealing. Your hair is blow dried and sealed with straighteners for a smooth, glossy finish.
Before your appointment
Please shampoo your hair three times, 48 hours before your appointment. Do not use conditioner, oil, hair treatments or masks for at least 5 days before.
Aftercare
Your hair can be washed the same day. Use the aftercare products we recommend, as they keep the treatment working and keep your six month guarantee valid. After each wash, blow dry your hair fully using a paddle brush. A little serum helps if your ends are dry.
Who should not have this treatment
Protein straightening may not be suitable if you have a scalp condition such as eczema or psoriasis, any irritation on the scalp, very sensitive skin around the eyes, if you use retinol or skin lightening creams near the hairline, or if you have reacted to bleach or lightening products before. We check all of this at your free consultation.
